Sunday Special: The Retro Yakking Jacket Potato Awards
Yes, it’s Retro Yakking’s very own brand spankin’ new awards thingy. It’s a bit like the Tesco Value Lemonade Awards, but with a difference… it’s, like, a jacket potato. That, and I need an excuse to catch up on my shout outs.
These blogs are a cut above the rest and come highly recommended by the yakster himself, Mr. Harry Yack.
Yes, our bonkers bovine buddy has been let out of his pen just for this weekend to run his hairy paws along the vast expanse that is the world wide web and report back with his very favourite pages.

Photoshops are cool
Hayden at Cobwebhead must get the first mention, and a rather belated one it is, too. A couple of months ago, she felt compelled to contribute to the ‘Thursday morning pretentiousness’ when I went error hunting:
It’s not every day someone makes a Photoshop just for me. For this, I am thankful - I can only apologise for the lateness of this expression of my gratitude. Be sure to check out Hayden’s blog for more of the same fun and frivolity.

Soccer spectacles.
Earlier this week I featured a post on five of my favourite football celebrations. The inspiration for this came from an entry I read on Wiggy’s World in which he posted a video of former Newcastle striker Temuri Ketsbaia performing an ‘unusual’ celebration. He has since posted his own favourite five games of football - give it a look and enjoy the superb soccer spectacles on offer.
Hey wait, isn’t that what Alan Wiley should wear? Anyway, I’m looking forward to a possible follow up post when I expect to see one of the legendary Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle games of the 1990s… keep up to speed with his blog to find out.

That was a doozy!
A final shout out for today goes to Nonamedufus, whose blog is currently nearing its second anniversary in the blogosphere. Exciting changes are afoot, as a redesign is already underway and retrospectives are expected to follow.
NND’s also the winner of one of Crotchety Old Man’s Zucchini awards, which instantly makes me envious of him… it’s harder to win that thing than an Academy Award. Get down to his blog, it’s good for a laugh.
