Lolyaks: the newest in image yakros

Published by hindleyite at 9:59 am under Animals Edit This

Come to Yak countrySomething a little bit different today for you yak fans out there.

I don’t normally succumb to such mainstream sources of humour as image macros, but I promise you will be weak at the knees at the sight of the newest addition to the LOLanimals stable. That’s right: it’s the Lolyak.

Prepare to delve into the depths of commercial humour as I present to you a series of yakros fit for a blog with the name Retro Yakking.

And not a posing cat in sight.

Yaks crossing a river

These yaks can only be grateful they aren’t being ridden by some cowboy wannabe. A word of warning: wild yaks aren’t likely to take too kindly to you jumping on their backs suddenly.

The yak - a better method of transport than hopping in a sack

Domesticated yaks, on the other hand, can be trained to carry goods and humans. Yak racing is a popular sport in some parts of Tibet, and is certainly more fun than hopping around in a sack.

The Beatle Yaks

I’m not sure if the Beatles ever played in Tibet, so this joke is likely to be lost on your average Tibetan monk. Still, you can tell which one’s Ringo…

Beatle Yak needs a haircut

If it wasn’t such a savage killing machine, it would be adorable wouldn’t it? It is inadvisable to pet a wild yak because they’re not all placid Beatles fans like this one.

Well, that’s all the yakking I can stand for now. Enjoyed this post? I may or may not feature a follow-up to this as I also have some lolcows prepared, so until next time, keep on yakkin’.
