Prescott: “Don’t smile, Gordon. It makes you look an idiot.”
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has appeared on YouTube for some reason. That reason, it seems, is to be shot at like a clay pigeon. Oh, Mr Brown, what have you let yourself in for now?
Overheard at Number Ten:
Brown: “Well, I’m all for being ‘down with the kids’, but do I have to go on YouTube?”
Adviser: “Just try to smile and it’ll be over in… three and a half minutes. Remember what we learned in training - lift the corners of your mouth for the first twenty seconds. After that you can do what you like because people will have already hit the back button.”
A (not very) fun thing to try: watch the first ten seconds of the video without the sound and it becomes rather creepy.
Also note the disabled comments for this video. People with comments are urged to visit the I H8 Downing Street forum, currently run by David Cameron. People with complaints are urged to ‘naff orf’.
John Prescott has also waded into the public pinata that is Gordon Brown and his attempt to become the next YouTube big thing. He is advised to keep quiet or he might have a video posted about him or something. Still, we all know Mr Prescott is more than capable of fighting back.
HY.

Christ, now I’m imagining John Prescott smiling.
Oh dear fucking God. I want them to stay in power long enough for him to do something worth me using that photo.
Are politicians actually the same species as humans?
I think he’s got some of Howard Dean’s DNA.
