Google crop circles could be ‘evidence of extraterrestrial life’

Google crop circle - UFO invasion!

Internet search engine and Big-Time Charlies Google caused a bit of a ripple yesterday when they substituted their famous logo with a mysterious ‘crop circle’ design.

In recent times, Google has been known to reference anniversaries and events with specially designed modifications of their logo, but the significance of this particular design is baffling sci-fi geeks and UFOlogists worldwide.

Some suggest it is simply a viral marketing gimmick placed on the Google homepage to garner interest amongst the nerd community. A more plausible explanation, posited by conspiracist P.Brain, is that Google are in fact in cahoots with the American Government about a secret alien species set to be unveiled in a closely-guarded ceremony later this week.

A group of enthusiasts, however, believe they have solved the mystery using coordinates posted on Google’s Twitter account this morning around 4AM BST. Those coordinates, it has been found, point to the town of Woking in West Surrey, the location of the first Martian landing in H.G. Wells’ War of the the Worlds.

It just so happens that next week marks the 143rd anniversary of Wells’ birth, and this logo is supposedly part of a series of designs posted on the site in celebration.

Some refuse to accept this explanation, suggesting Google may be plotting something a bit more sinister.

I believe Google have actually begun employing aliens — which have been walking among us for many years — a la Men In Black to work in their offices. It is well known in the UFO community that aliens will work for peanuts - Google are employing them to do their bidding, which includes mind-reading and coffee-making, for as little as five cents a day. Today is gonna be the day they finally admit to it, I can sense it! — UFOlogist who shall remain anonymous

Te ‘big reveal’ has yet to happen, but UFOlogists continue to wait with baited breath.

Must be something big because there was absolutely no advertising on the search page if you clicked on the logo. Why would Google get millions of computers users clicking into their search engine without any chance of it bringing in some cash? Mysterious
